New explorer
Hey guys I havn't been on in a while but good to be back.
I got a job towing motorcyles around the Chicagoland area and I'm looking into buying a new vehicle. I would like to get a loaded explorer NEW for 30k out the door if i can find that deal. I am pulling a thousand pound trailor with at most a couple bikes. We do motorcycle transport and rescue 24 tow but mostly moving bikes from house to dealership or vice versa. I am open to ideas but basically i get a bigger cut if i get my own vehicle to pull. The alleys in the city are kinda tight. Thats why I am leaning on the explorer. I would get another powerstroke but its just to tight in the places that I find myself driving. I drive the company durango lol but its perfect as far as turning the corners in the alleys and such to drop off or pick up in people garages. I would like to hear your opinions. This vehicle would be my vehicle not just for work but also for everything else which is just golf and grocery getting. |

Welcome back, Looie!!!! Glad to see you are still around. The explorer would be perfect for what you are looking to do. It isn't exactly a tow beast, but the low weight you are talking about should be just fine.
