NIKE supports dog fighting

PLEASE sign this online petition against NIKE to get them to drop their Micheal Vick line of footwear.

https://community.hsus.org/campaign/US_2007_dog...

Unfair Dog Treatment...

"Nike continues sponsoring NFL's Michael Vick, even though he faces federal felony dogfighting charges. Witnesses say he and associates cruelly killed dogs who didn't show enough "gameness."

I'm not one for passing stuff like this along in emails or on forums but what this "pro" athlete..if you want to call him that..has done is just disgusting.

they agreed to drop his new shoe that was about to hit the market in early Aug but continue to sell other footwear products that he endorses.

I personally don't like Vick or his antic's on or off the field. I truly believe he is guilty, but we haven't seen all the evidence yet... I think every dog has his day (pun intended) and he will be found guilty and I hope he loses everything he has... But until then everyone will be watching on the sidelines...

Trust me, I don't want to refute, or take a stand against your post. I think IF he did that, he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Obviously we have MANY opinions on this site regarding pit bulls as most of you can probably tell from the multiple page thread "Great Debate - Pitbulls." But let me say this...
He is innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. This very statement has covered my own behind more then once. I'll quote what you posted...

The key word is "faces" and then an alleged statement of such cruel things. At this point it's all allegations, speculation, and accusations. Which don't mean squat in the court of law. IF he's guilty, I hope he gets it good in jail if you know what I mean.

I'll be signing this petition knowing that it really won't do much because of the position Nike and Vick are in. If sponsoring parties like Nike dropped their agents at every accusation who would they sponsor? LOL... think about it.

Ok, carry on...

You know the best way to show your support on non support is to either buy nike or don't. Just my 2 cents. By no way do I condone what the allegations are as I hope they feed him to the dogs in prison if he is guilty.

regardless if they find him guilty in a court of law or not we all know deep down he is guilty..hey look at O.J.

This isn't about what the judicial system is going to do...This is about NIKE saying "hey we're not too sure how people are going to react about this...sales might decline or they may not...let's sit on it and see how it goes before we take the chance on losing money regardless what the moral consensus is."
