What is meant by welding up the egr tube.

welding shut the up pipe where it shoots off to the EGR system. You can also purchase an aftermarket "sneaky pipe" to accomplish the same thing. stops hot exhaust gasses from entering the EGR system and flash boiling coolant. Virtually eliminates the chances of a EGR cooler failure down the road. Also known as EGR delete (see my sig).
