Out of Diesel

Ok call me stupid or whatever, but I got caught in an area with no gas stations selling diesel. Even the roadside assistance guy had to drive across town to get diesel for me, and then brought only a gallon. So I would appreciate some help in how do I get the thing started after I get more then a gallon in it? Thanks

put some fuel in it and get it running, shouldnt take much, then drain the fuel filter. the newer diesels are not as bad as the older ones after running dry. and welcome to the forum!

What motor are you running......and what year.....things can vary depending on those details.....Marc
