Good story!
A lady called AAA today and requested a T5, which is gas. Well she was in a 2000 F350 dually crew cab long bed pulling a 5th wheel trailer with horses on it. She was a basic member so she pays for the fuel that gets delievered, but we don't deliever diesel, only gas. Also, the trailer isn't covered at all because it does not have living quarters and the live animals have to be removed in order for AAA to tow the trailer anyway. Plus, it would require medium duty to tow the truck since it was an F350 dually. Basically we're looking at quite a bit of work and lots of money just to get some diesel. Anyway, long story short I explained to the member all of this and asked her if she's like to attempt to get the vehicle started herself. She was eager to try and I explained to her how to prime the fuel system and start the truck. It worked, and she's driving to the fuel station as I type this!
Oh yeh, it was her husband brought her 5 gallons of diesel |
