axle swap? 3.73 to 4.10

I have an 03 f250 with 35's and 3.73
I also have a 00 f350 dually with 4.10
may question is it possible to just swap the axles and hubs out for a gear change? What would I have to do about the rear?
its just a thought......

Yep, easy swap. I did the almost the same thing. I snapped the pinion in the Dana 50 in my '99. I wanted to go to a Dana 60 like the '02 and newer SRWs have. I also wanted to gear down to 4.10s, so I found a complete front axle out of an '02 DRW. All I had to do was pull the dually adapters off and it bolted right in. The dually adapters are just spacers that are bolted on.

What about the rear axle? Is it the same width?

I was told the rear dually axle was wider. I didn't have a rear axle to swap anyway, so I didn't look into it much. I just regeared and put a Detroit locker in my original rear axle.
