6.0 vs 6.4? Feedback

OK I am looking at getting a powerstroke, we have run them for years, we have had the 7.3 idi and a few 7.3 OBS powerstrokes and a 2006 6.0. What I am looking for is some feedback on is what is the better buy? The 6.4 or 6.0 like 05-07 bodystyle? The truck will be used for my sole driving veichle, a good amount of highway miles but it also has to be able to pull a livestock trailer (7x24 loaded with cattle), as well as a flatbed machinery trailer (both are goosenecks). What are some of the big problems people encounter with the 6.4's? I know the problems and what to do to the 6.0's. any help is appreciated, thanks guys

I have a 6.4 and the biggest problem I run across is gas mileage. I personally like the look of the 05-07 trucks the best especially the ones with the chrome package, thats a beautiful truck! Both the 6.0 and the 6.4 have their pros and cons, the 6.0 has all its little EGR, Studs, and head gaskets and the 6.4 has its gas mileage, DPF, and stuff. Both are good trucks.

I agree with Strokinpower, I have a 2004 F350 and I love it. I think the 6.4 are good vehicles also. You need to decide which one you like best. I got mine for a good price which made my decision for me.

I have an 05 and wouldn't consider giving it up for a 6.4.

I have a 03 f350 extended cab dully 6.0l 6speed man trans , I recently drove a 08 6.4 at the same place I bought my dully . Beautiful truck f350 non dully extended cab the motor was extremley quite compaired to my dully but I was shocked that my 6.0 had a lot more power and when I checked the avg mpg it said 9.5 I thought that cant be right . I figured it had been reset and idled alot . I know my dully has exhaust and a tuner on it but I dive it on the drive setting , but I was expecting more out of the 6.4 .
