Powerstroke chip

Probably a silly question but........ I have a 1996 4wd f250 5speed. I'm looking to pull a little bigger trailer than I pull now probably a 18' or 20'. My truck has 225000k and NO ISSUES, doesn't burn oil, doesn't smoke and starts like a champ when cold. Should I have any reservations about adding a chip to a truck with this many miles? Any insights or opinions would appreciated.
