Hurt my truck, too

It was the 4th of July and I was going to a friends farm to celibrate with some non-Maryland fireworks (good ones) when it happened. I was coming thru an intersection when a girl in a Mazda Protege pulled out of a parking lot just after the intersection to make a left turn, right in front of me. Luckily it was in town so I wasn't going fast, but, the wet roads and going downhill didn't help. On the other hand having wet roads helped to lesson the impact cause I pushed her about 10-15 feet after impact. I hit her driver's side rear door/ quarter panel. Good news no one was hurt and I was able to drive away with damage confined to the front bumper and related parts. The mazda, as one would suspect, wasn't so lucky and had to be towed. Didn't have my camera with me, so no on scene photos. Just can't see how someone couldn't see me with all my lights on and being in such a little truck and all.

Always a good thing when no one gets hurt. Waiting for her insurance company to get a copy of the accident report then I'll get it fixed. Guess I'll go to the dealership to get it repaired, since my wife's uncle sold his body shop and became a preacher.

I'll bet if you'd had rodslingers front end...there would have been no damage at all. Say, I think we should forget strapping bumpers and seeing who pulls the other...but them bumper to bumper and see how long rodslingers lasts!!!

Man I'm sorry to hear that - I just had one myself the other day that tore the crap out of my rig. Glad y'all were ok though - and I feel your pain, you've got a great looking rig.
