Southbend Clutch!

I have got to say I'm very pleased with the guys over there. When I ordered my clutch (months ago) I made the mistake of ordering a con-o. Called the guys at SBC to see about upgrading. Told me to send them my disk and they would re-line it with what I want and I only had to pay the difference. And they threw in an updated clutch fork as well. Now that is customer service!!

Upgraded to what, an OFE? The OFE isn't very grabby....the FE is. With the FE it's either in, or out. If you have an FE, don't do anything that will slip it too much, such as pulling a sled, a boosted launch, etc....
I somehow managed to ruin one about a month ago, welded the whole setup together. SB covered half.

Naww I think I'll stick to the OFE

When I ordered the clutch I told him what I was running and what I do with the truck, pulling trailers alot he said I was best with the OFE the FE was on and off not real good for backin in my trailer. The con O was good but if I decided to make more power in the future I'd need the OFE anyway ... I didnt wanna have to swap in a year or less...lol I love the OFE nice clutch

Oh yeah, I can't imagine what it would be like towing every day with an FE. I don't think towing would daily would be too bad, but if you had to back it up every day.....no way....you'd eat it up

I'm going back with the OFE. No need for the FE. Got me an idea for a new project that will be far less expensive in the long run
