custom exhaust

i was tooling with the idea of just buying the downpipe and the muffler... putting the muffler right behind the cat and then going straight up to the stacks... is the doable or to restrictive?? also... how do you keep water from pooling in the stacks?

I dont' think it would be any more restrictive then having more pipe inbetween the cat and muffler - and I'd say its doable as long as the can and muffler didn't get you past the point where you need to make the turn to go up into the bed...

as far as the water... I guess you'd need some of those "rain caps"/flappy things you see on semi's??
