Just converted a lifetime chevy guy today

We are shopping for new trucks for our business so a guy who works with me wanted a chevy duramax in the worst way. Well I decided to go with him to the dealership and take one for a spin just to see what he was getting all excited about. We drove a late'07 2500HD allison/duramax 4x4 and it was a nice truck but nothing to write home about. Sits low all around but the front is almost like a low rider. The truck's stance is just wide and low. No room in the back seat and the air worked like crap. The truck has 2 things going for it. It's quiet and fast. Well to make a long story short, after visiting 2 chevy dealers we are driving home and I asked him to stop by the ford dealership because I wanted to see the '08's. We test drove one and he ended up leaving with an '08 crewcab 4x4 diesel f-350. This was a crotchety old timer who has driven chevy's since the 60's and 3 generations of his family have worked in the plant in Detroit building GM's. He said the Ford had chevy beat in all categories but the chevy seemed a little faster. Since he wasn't going to race it he said it was a no brainer. Makes me love my 350 even more.

Sometimes it takes a little longer for people to realize FORD'S are better.
