UPDATE on all the repairs on my silver pig
For those that didn't catch my thread on all the problems I had with my "new to me" F350, I finally got her all patched up and running like new. I can certainly say I learned a lot about diesels in the process and to
NEVER EVER EVER EVER TRUST PREVIOUS OWNERS Now coming from driving Tacomas for years, I knew my trucks inside and out, but diesels were something new so I was learning as I went. Short story, the previous owner of my truck must have been on crack and I wasn't smart enough (at that time) to catch it. So here's what I replaced so far: Injector Gaskets Oil Cooler EGR Cooler EGR Valve Thermostat Brake switch Turbo bearing Resurfaced turbo plates Biggest "Oh !@#$%" moment i had was when i drained the coolant and it was green Paid Ford to flush and debride it as I wanted a really clean start.Just wanted to thank everyone on here for all the tips and How-to threads. not my first mechanical rodeo but definately a first for diesel. Runs now like a raped ape, so again, thanks y'all. |

I got a few messages saying I should have done the EGR delete. Now, is this something that I can bolt on and the computer will sort itself out or do I need to have it tuned?
