HELP on buying an f250

Hey guys I need help here. First off Irebuild transmissions with my dad and I love f250s and my buddies have them. Well my POS lincoln ls was totaled from a lady tboning me and her insurance is paying me a check for my car and eventually my medical. I found 2 F250s. both are exactly what I want, crew cab, 4x4, short bed 7.3 turbo diesels. One is 2001 and the other is 2003. the 01 has 220,000 miles and the 03 has 315,000 miles with complete 05 front clip front end headlights, bumper, and grill. The 03 looks better like paint job is a tad bit better. Just need opinions. And I will rebuild the 4r100 trans to how I want it. Just scared for the 315,000 motor. and the 03 is going for 8,900 and the 01 is going for 8,500 and i will be able to make a deal on both.
