Another ELC thread
I have called every truck parts/repair/dealer around me and the only places I can find it is one place with Fleetrite for 17.50/gallon and CAT has some for 21.00/gallon. All the other truck centers around here have random brands Ive never heard of.I see alot of people getting Shell and others for 11.00 -14.00/ gallon.
But where are yall getting it? Ordering it? Sorry for another ELC question I just couldnt find a "where to get it" thread. And Im out of school till the 17th and its suppose to be 65* here this weekend so I wanted to get it done Thanks in advance |

Lots of the cheaper stuff isn't concentrate.

I have bought the fleetrite and the CAT for the same prices as you found. That is for the straight concentrate. The same stuff is also available pre-diluted and is cheaper. Go for the concentrate and add distilled water, its a worthwhile purchase which you probably won't ever have to do again anyways.

O'Reilly can order Final Charge ELC concentrate for $20.00/gallon.

Thanks fellas. Yeah I made sure to get the concentrate price. I called O'reillys and they told me they had the kind that can mix with any color and I wasnt real sure about that.
I just know I saw a thread where a guy got Shell elc for around $12/ gallon of concentrate. |

(not laughing at you, BTW)Only stuff I could find was the CAT brand, and it was $21/gallon for the concentrate. Their 50/50 mix was just over $10/gallon. Last edited by Snake; 12-28-2010 at 12:19 PM. |

I know what you mean Snake, but I can hope cant I
![]() I guess I might just have to go with the Fleetrite for $17. Have any of your heard of a brand called Coastal, theres a place down the road that sales that for $10.60 for concentrate. But I think he said it was one that could be mixed with green, and I just dont like the sound of that . I want the good stuff

Haven't heard of Coastal, and I'd personally stay away from it. Just because I've never heard of it.
Technically speaking, you can mix different coolants together. Realistically speaking, its not the greatest idea. Check out the Coastal stuff and see if it says on the jug that it's Cat EC-1 rated. That's the seal of approval. |

Yeah I was thinking. When he said 10 bucks for concentrate I was like that seems too cheap. Ill check on the EC-1 rating.
