Manual overdrive

I have a 7.3L Cab/chassis manual(2004) and will be towing a trailer weighing around 3400kg. Whilst there are some who say you have to be carefull towing in overdrive with an auto, what thoughts or suggestions are there about towing in overdrive with a manual.

if your RPM's and power justify being in overdrive....use it. a lot of heavy trailers can not be towed in overdrive depending on rear end gear ratios for lack of power....but its just another gear so if you can use it AND you dont notice a fuel economy loss due to having to give it more fuel all the time.....use it anytime you want with a manual tranny.......Marc
