I'm pretty sure that the earliest powerstrokes we in late 94. 93's didn't even have a turbo on them.

Any other thoughts on this?

There is always a chance it has had a new motor??

hope this helps, stay tuned, I'm sure someone else will chime in soon

it is a 7.3....but its not a powerstroke. that motor is IDI (indirect injection) and the new motors in 94 were DI (direct injection) which is also when they slapped the powerstroke name on them.....Marc

From what I have heard the mid 93.5 to 94.5 had turbos, and then 94.5 it became like they said the DI (powerstroke) I worked for a guy that had a 94 IDI turbo F-250 and he said he got 22 mpg, not just once, but as a average of all driving.

hmm? i'd have to question that...the earlier psd's were pretty good, but 22mpg seems like a stretch to me...

i dont doubt it a bit wes....in a regular cab truck especially. those old 6.9 and 7.3 IDI's were amazing with thier fuel economy if driven right....i had a guy prove 21-22 to me.....i was impressed......Marc

i would get 15-16-17, was a 5spd 4x4, drove it pretty easy.
i cant see 22mpg in one at all. sounds like your getting bad info.

seem's like i've read that some where bfore. turbo's were optional on idi 7.3's in '94. or you could get a plain naturaly asperated idi 7.3. or the power stroke. maybe i'm wrong.

from what i have seen and have been told.....94 was a split year.....like 99 on the 7.3 and 2003 with the 7.3/6.0. you could get a early 94 with the IDI motor....or the late 94 (94.5) motor with a DI motor, with had the option of being naturally asperated or turbocharged.......someone correct me if im wrong.......Marc
