Whistle/Whine Noise - 6.4L Diesel 2008 F250

Just recently in the last few days, I've noticed a high pitched whistle/whine
noise coming from the engine "only" when I step on the pedal to quickly
accelerate and the turbo kicks in. The only thing recently that I've have done
was get an Oil Change and a Fuel Filter Change.

Is it possible that something with the installation of the oil filter or fuel filter
could be causing this noise to occur only when I accelerate? Or might doing those
repairs be completely unrelated and something else might be going on.

Or might I just be crazy and my truck should have been whistling when I
accelerated all along, and something with this recent repair just enabled
what should be?

Just wondering

I have just finished a repair on a 6.4L 2008 f/450 and noticed a whine when the turbo kicks in. Did you figure anything out adout your situation?

Sorry.. No new knowledge has come my way. I'll be heading down to
the Outer Banks for a week. After I get back, I might drop it off at the
dealership and see what the deal is, if its still making that noise.

I'm having the same noise with my '08 F-350 King Ranch 6.4L. I hadn't really noticed it when I originally purchased the truck a few months back, but now it's becoming more prevent almost every time I drive. Did you find out anything about the noise?

I just got mine fixed after it went from random event to chronic problem.
It turns out, it was a gasket issue between the engine and exhaust. It was
covered under warranty (54,000/miles) on my truck.

The only downside, is that it required the diesel mechanic to fix it, so I was
put in to the queue of diesel trucks to be repaired, which took 5 days to be
fixed.
