'Er, one other question............
In buying a newer PS, I'd obviously like to get one w/ lower mileage, and also one from Grandpa, if you know what I mean. I don't want to get one that looks like it's been taken care of, and has for the most part, but has also been moded, but before selling they take the mods and you can't tell if it's been hot roded or not. The QUESTION; Is there ANY info stored on the ECM that would be something a tech could access?

P.S. My '97 still purrs like a kitten with almost 240k, but the mileage is making me nervous. Also, the tranny is tight, but...... 1st gear cool, 2nd gear fine, 3rd gear right on time, and the second 3rd gear, it dogs down bad!! And yes, the OD is off.
