2003 ford f250 with 6.0L

Im looking to buy a 2003 ford with the 6.ol powerstroke can anybody tell me what to expect with this motor someone told me they had problems and dont buy it . it has 70000 miles Thanks

The first thing you should do is get the VIN off of it and have a ford dealer run an oasis report on it. If the oasis comes back full of repairs such as egr valves, injectors, turbos, then i would walk away from it. If it comes back clean then its probably not going to be a problem child engine, at least for a while.

Get an oasis report ran on it. This will tell you what has been done to the truck under warranty. Also, if you keep up on the maintence, you should have no problems. What do you plan on using the truck for?

I'd say go for it. That's a pretty decent price for the miles. If your just using it for DD and pulling a cattle trailer, you should be fine. My dads '03 has 170,000+ miles on it and she pulls hard everday bone stock, except for a straight pipe.
