Is the normal??

I looked at a 97 F350 today with 258,000 on it. It rolled 3 times and fired up with no smoke. It was idling for about 2 or 3 mins before i drove it when i laid in to it it made a nice smoke cloud it was kind white and blueish in color is this a problem? The idle was not rough and it had enough power to move a house. Should i stay away from this truck or buy it? PLEASE HELP need to make a deal in the morning.
