Any Powerstroke techs quitting?

I was a Ford Diesel Tech/Auto trans tech for a coupled different Ford dealerships. Thought I worked to put myself in a position where I'd always have work, but then came the months of going home, anywhere between 12-3, so I had to find something else and am now working fleet (non powerstroke) and my main job is just changing oil..............the pay is good, been doing it for just over 4 years now but I hate it. I am glad I have a job that pays, but I liked working on pickups............

Any other Ford Powerstroke techs find them selves having to leave the dealerships?

Well I wasn't a ford tech, but I too left the dealership and went back to the big diesels and I'm loving it.Too much crap work at the dealerships for me. I know a buddy of mine that works at a Chevy dealership as a diesel tech likes working on the pick-ups but isn't making any where near as much as he did on the big trucks,he may end upp going back too.

You need to move to Massachusetts.... ok,well I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. Up here we have a shortage of Light Diesel Mechanics. Every time I call a dealership to have my truck serviced there is a 3 day waiting period... if it wasn't under warranty I would just do it myself.
