polishing help

hey guys. i am polishing a sled deck that is custom built for a 05 PSD however, i am not getting the results that i want.
i am getting it to a great shine, but there are spots that appear to be dark when looking at it in my garage, but when i took a photo with flash it ended up looking like this.

i have been using 4" buffing wheel with wicked metal polish. o wet sanded with 1500 grit first also.
i have tried hand polishing/buffing wheel with the abouve product and zephyr pro 40, mothers mag/aluminum, white rouge, and green.
what am i missing? how can i get the marks out?
i am leaving tommorrow afternoon for the mountains and want this thing looking slick.

any and all help is appreciated.

PS. please dont mind the dirty garage..

try rubbing the polishing material on it, when it turns black, throw some flour on it...the flour will take out the smaller scratches your seeing. Do it in a small spot, to see if it works for ya. I sounds funny, but thats what I was told to do, and seen done when I was researching polising my wheels....then I paid someone to do it... I hate polishing!!!

sounds like your burning the polish into it. try polishing it again by hand and wipe by hand. when i did my bike frame with a wheel, it would burn the polish on it and stay black looking. i ended up using 4000 grit wet sand than polished by hand and it looks sweet.
