California smog??

So i read a little on that they are going to start smogging diesels soon in CA. 1998 and newer. does anyone know what they will be doing. i would think maybe just a Opacity Test. also i dont have a converter, my truck happens not to need one so does the engine tag says. just wondering if anyone knew something on this topic

after reading everything I have(do a search buddy!) it seems that theyre just doing smoke tests and making sure your ECU hasnt thrown any codes. thats about it. Mine didnt come with a cat either im so glad.
