6.0 white smoke
my buddy just bought a 2005 f-350 4x4 superduty with the 6.0 it has 150,000 miles and it started to puff white smoke on start up and lasts for about 5 min then goes away. it has the egr deleate already done there is no residue in the mbrp exhaust the oil had just been changed right before he bought the truck the truck runs great no codes colent seems fine and oil seems fine any ideas on what is causing the white smoke? thanks.

Mine smokes white until it warms up also. Figured it is normal.

It generally is pretty normal however mine went from noticeable to excessive and I decided to take it in. I ended up have 2 bad injectors which were leaking or something to that effect (I'm not a mechanic) and now the problem is solved. That was my solution but I know that there's other culprits for excessive white smoke upon start up.

Smoke is usually lazy injectors....

dame mine smoke white quiet abit then cleans up i just thought it was the programer putting to much fuel to it at start up
