Inverter, battery and a block warmer

Im about to go to midnights and there are no plugs at work for my truck. I was wondering if anyone had used a spare battery or one of them in the truck with an inverter and plugged their block heater in over night. I would figure it would drain the battery and I would have to recharge it everyday. Maybe even a marine battery would work. Anyone heard of it or tried it? Oh by the way I live in Alaska and in December and January I know it will drop below 0 here. So thinking of alternatives.

I would bet that block heater draws quite a bit, probably without a huge inverter and multiple batteries, you won't accomplish anything. You will run out of juice before it runs long enough to suffiently warm the engine

I was thinking the same. I am going to try it this weekend just out of curiousity. That way if it just kills the battery I will be home to charge it. Thanks.
