7.3 swap in a bronco?

hey guys i got a 79 bronco, with the ****ty 351M and always wanted a diesel
does anyone know where to start?
i know ill need to get a computer, where would that be muonted to? also what would i use for a transmission?

7.3 complete wire harness PCM trans depends do you want auto or manual. Auto get a 4r100 manual get a zf6. And t cases to match

id like manual but my bronco is auto so i dont want to have to screw around with making a clutch pedal and plate and all that stuff

also might be a dumb question(im used to 2.9s lol) but are all 7.3s have turbo?

All the 7.3 powerstrokes do yes. Not all the IDI's do

or do you think it would be easier to get a diesel truck and cut a couple feet out of the frame and drop the bronco body one it?

You dont want a 7.3 idi they dont make much power.

well i found this truck
1994 Ford F350 Dual wheel Diesel - Automotive Cars & Trucks Ford - NL Classifieds For Sale

i was thinking shorten the frame on that one and put the bronco cab on her, or possibly leave her like she is
do you think putting the bronco cab on her would be easy?
