want a jet sounding turbo

getting exhast this weekend. thinking of a 3.5 downpipe to 5 inch all straight pipe out the side yaeh or neah sorry guys i have a 2005 lariet 4 door with a k&n filter. has 21000 miles and i want it to sound like the 03 6.0,s just putting oh either a 3.5 or 4 in bullydog downpipe and straight 5 inch out the side with a 6 inch tip. do i need a muffler, cat, for backpressure? had the same setup on my 02 7.3. any suggestions thanks guys

i have an 05 laretl crew cab with 25000 miles. k&n intake. i want the turbo to sound like the 03 s. that nasty loud jet sound. thinkin of doin a 4 inch downpipe with 5 inch straight out the side behind the door. no cat or muffler.is that a good idea.also will a banks wastegate help with power? im not familar with the 6.0s but 7.3 i no enough. does the 6.0 have a blow off vavle or is it internal. can i put one on. thanks guys

I'll let the more technical guys answer you questions but they changed the turbo from the year model from your to the '03 - more or less fins, I can't remember - so you're not going to be able to get that same jet sound. Trust me I wanted it too!

An 03 has less vanes than the 05. You won't get the same turbo whine as the 03. The only way to get that same whine is to swap the turbos. Even the 03 and 04 turbos are different. Keith

If anyone knows about being screwed it's Smoke - he sold his PSD for a Cummins.
