Exclamation Exhaust gas in cooling system?

If some of you don't know my situation, my truck is at the dealer because it blew white smoke alot. I knew it was either the EGR cooler or head gaskets. They are going to install ARP's under warranty for me if that is the case.

Well I just got a call and the service man says a quick inspection shows exhaust gas in the cooling system. And he also said that is a sign of blown HG's. Is this accurate?

I need to know so I can go ahead and order the ARP's, if not, I do not want to order them.

thanks.
