Anyone savy with the 5.9 common rail?

I have a friend that bought an 04 truck that had been modded and he is taking it back toward stock slowly but surly. He has had a bunch of problems and is losing faith in the truck. He had one aftermarket 100hp injector go bad and started to dump tons of fuel in the valve cover. He replaced it with a stock injector and now is having others starting to miss he says. Are there any recomendations of replacing the others or should he just install 5 replacements from the dealer? Thanks JJ

so hes running 1 stock injector with 5 100 horse injector?

are they full injectors are jut tips. my guess would be tips. if that the case then just keep the injectors and just buy stock tips. they are for sale all the time on the forums. not here but like competition diesel.com or cumminsforum.com

i rarely hear probems with cummins even with modded injectors. i bet something else is up with that truck to be having problems like that.

I hope he isnt running one stock injector with five 100 hp injectors. That is putting an f'd up load on the crank and just asking to put some windows in the block. No wonder he is having problems with it
