rather than hijack the original thread....
oasis04 came up with a great idea to use static wicks to discharge static in plow truck applications.
i had heard that most of the corrosion in plow trucks is due to 'electroplating' corrosive material (road treatments) to the vehicle....oasis04 suggested 'static wicks'.
tons of info out there on them but i can't seem to find how exactly they are made. knowing the knowledge is rampant on the org, i figured i'd thow it out there and see if anyone knows.
can i make one from a simple steel rod?
