winter diesel
Within the last few weeks I have lost about 1.5 to 2 mpg. I have read that winter diesel will do that, but my question is, does winterized diesel get sent to every gas station even in warm climates like phoenix az. I cant figure out why my mileage is going down. only have 12500 miles on the truck and 3000 since the last oil change. Air filter seems to be good as well

No they don't have "winterized" fuel everywhere. All it is is a blend of #1 with #2 diesel. Most places don't start blending until the temperature warrants it because it increases costs to blend the fuel. Being in AZ, you'd never see a blended fuel unless you're in high elevation where it can get cold enough to justify it.
As far as poor mileage... Change your fuel filters. Have you switched where you fill up recently? Might have a poor batch of fuel. |
