Just got my first diesel
Bought a 2004 Ford King Ranch F350 Crew Cab. The truck has 235,000 miles already, however, was taken care of regularly (have receipts) and the body is perfect. I am stoked to own this vehicle. I am a little worried about some of the things I have heard about the 6.0, however, the original engine was replaced after 60,000 miles due to recurring problems.
Questions since I am new to diesels. How can I make the exhaust louder? What are the benefits of adding a cold air intake (K&N)? Thanks, and I must say I now understand the people who love their diesel trucks. New to diesels...... |

First off Welcome to the Addiction um I mean Org! To make it loud just put on a 4" turbo back straight pipe, that will do it. Stay away from the K&N the filtration is not up to their claims and you will dust your motor. The stock air box flows plenty well for normal stock to mild modification. When you get into the 450 to 500 hp range you will need to think about an after market intake, but if you still want to do one get a AFE Stage Two with the Proguard 7 filter
