Well my life is finally taking off! I hope the best for everyone else!

As some of you know I have been going to school to become a Diesel Truck Technician. Well I graduated early August, and received my Associate of Applied Science in Diesel & Truck Technology, I was also an Honor Graduate.

I moved from Indianapolis back to Michigan to live at home and look for work, (quite a prospect I know) and I GOT A JOB!!!!!! IN MICHIGAN!!!! I'm basically the lead Trailer Mechanic at Estes Express Lines in Romulus, Michigan!!! I moved my tools down yesterday, and start this Monday. Full Time, full benefits after 90 days, and making ... well-over minimum wage, over double in fact . A good deal over 20k a year isn't much but how's that for a 19 yr old fresh out of school.

Also I FINALLY found a place to take my truck off my hands! I'm extremely excited about that! Sad too but, it's time for Dualz to go. Especially now that I have to drive about 800 miles a week til I move closer...
I knew I was looking for a mileage machine or a small pickup, so I am going for a lil baby truck lol. It's a 2002 Chebby (I know I know ) S10, with 74k on it. 2wd, 5 speed. Good stuff.

In addition to this so far excellent weekend, I got my computer working! Dunno how much if at all I'll be on the org other than weekends, cause I gotta real job now! So happy.

Those of you that I've told my situation too in the last half year, I've gotten nothing but Hang In There's, and Good Luck's ... I do appreciate it you guys.

So I should be moved out of my parents' basement and into my own place supporting myself before the snow falls! That's all up in the air still but I know that 160mile round trip, morning rush and afternoon rush, daily is gonna get real old real quick lol.




Sorry for the book, and sorry to sell the Ford, had to be done. I got my eye on a Jetta next. Then maybe somethin cool. We'll see. Things are lookin up for now though! Go me!

That sounds really good. I'm glad to hear that there are still jobs out there in Michigan. Things will only get better for you. There are oppurtunities out there to advance how ever far you want.

Sounds like you're off to a great start! It's going to be tough for a while but hang in and stay on it. Believe me when I say it will be worth it.
