7.3 engine questions!!
Hello to you all!!! I'm new to the site!! I have a question I just bought a 1999 F450 the oil pan is very rusty and has been patched and the exhaust manifolds are bad so I'm going to pull the engine to replace both. I know I could probably change the parts without pulling the engine but the bolts will probably break so I rather just pull it out. Is there anything else that should be done when the engine is out. There's 208,000 km on the engine it runs good. I thank you for any info about my 7.3. Russel Canada

You have to pull the engine to change the oil pan. Get the ford sealant for that procedure. Infact to do it properly the engine has to sit upside down for 24 hours for it to adhere correctly. While you have it out might as well check everything over. I would change the glowplugs as maintenence as well

Check your up-pipes while it is out!
