ok what tranny fluid should i use

with knowing that my ts chip is gonna kill my tranny. what is the fluid i can get to keep this from happening. or is the fluid even gonna help. just regular fluid or synthetic or more often regular changes what should i do. thanks again

If the 2000 trany is anything like the 06 trany its mercon sp but don't hold me to that you might want a tech to take this one.I would'nt want to steer you wrong.any techs want this one

Nope don't use mercon sp only for the torque shift 2003 to date. Use any mercon or mercon v. I would use mobile I or amsoil both excellent synthetics.

thanks guys. i was reading on royal purples site that i can mix theres with the regular fluid. so i think im gonna drain the pan and convereter and refill with purp or amsiol what do u guys think.

if you want to go synthetic i would go Redline or Amsoil....and synthetics do tend to run a little cooler. They also dont "break down" like conventional oil, although dont mistake that for meaning you never have to service it. The additive package in it does get used up so just because it doesnt lose lubricity doesnt mean it doesnt need servicing.....

If you want to run conventional just run Merc V

after going to amsiol site i am going to go with that i have an email in to them now thanks for all yalls help. thanks you. stump u still da man.lol.
