OFF TOPIC: DURAMAX Programmers

I got a buddy with a LB7 Duramax starting to Modify it. I dont know much about whats good for the izuzu motor. I know SCT doenst make a programmer for them.

So whats good and what programmer allows custom tunes?

I don't know muc about it but looks up PPI. They do the -09 duramax.

Lots of guys run PPE or for custom tunes they run EFI live.....I know they are also talking about the edge race edition too.

Hands down the best is EFILive. Let your imagination run with that software.
However if you want a sweet handheld, I would suggest a PPE Hot+2.
But if budget is somewhat an issue, go with the DiabloSport Predator. I ran the Predator on my LB7 for a long time and was really pleased with the performance and features it had. The Predator is the only handheld that I found that would read injector balance rates. Thats nice expecially on an LB7 being the injectors tend to have issues.

But at any rate, the LB7 is a solid motor to build on.

EFI live for sure. The first step in jacking up an LB7, or any Dmax is to add a lift pump system. any tuning that jacks fuel rail pressure and adds fuel will dry it up. low fuel pressure and volume will destroy these injectors.

The entity that produces the duramax diesel is called Dmax LTD. It is a joint venture between Government motors and Isuzu, all the screwed up parts are GM, LOL!!!

EFI Live is the sh*t for the duramax rigs. I wish they made it for the powersmokes.

Old Truck: 00 F350 XLT DRW: basic first few mods. S&B, 4" straight pipe, gauges, CCV, EBPV and Wastegate line deletes, LED Sills, sweet custom headlights, smoked cab lights, Ventshades, Tint.
Traded in at 196k miles.

"Brand Newish" Truck: 02 Chevy S10 2.2L 5sp. Reg cab 4x2. Badass custom made shifter, foglights, 20% tint, AVS Vent-shades, Stock Intake mods, Electric Fan conversion .
~ 95k miles.
