TC LOCKUP

Ok here goes i feel kinda stupid asking this ? but its gotta be done if i am gonna keep using my truck for wat i do and modding it. So how do i know when my tc locks up? wat are the advantages to this i know my sct will lock it in 123 if i choose when would be a good time to use this? My truck is a 03 6.0 built tranny billet converter sct 4inch exhaust and a afe2 it is my daily driver but i also take it to sled pulls and its going to its first drag race and trailer tow comp on the six. I know i should know this i am good on the engine and working on it myself but never really got into trannys.(k that sounds wrong). But at these comps i wanna no i am using my truck to its full advantage i have placed in all the pulls so far but would also like to do good at the strip on the sixth. Sorry for all the ? u guys are great and thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My DIY intake makes an exhaling sound when it locks up. Feels like another gear. Happens right after 3rd with my chip. Not sure with WOT? Got access to an AutoEnginuity scanner? You can set it to show you TC lockup. Screen will change color. This is the way I learned to identify when mine locked up.

That did sound wrong!

Before I ever put the TC lockup on mine I ran an LED to the lockup wire under the dash and then the other end to a hot wire and installed it in the dash. So every time it locks whether I do it or the truck does it the LED lights up!

lol thanks alot but what are the advantages to it and when would i wanna do it? that sounds like a good idea how do i find the right wires
