MY NEW RIG!!! Also-Why You Should Go Premium!

Here she is sitting at the dealership after I signed the papers yesterday.

After about 3 months of searching I'm finally a proud Powerstroke owner. My new rig is an early 2003 regular cab F-350, 83K on the clock with the 7.3L/off road package. It's got the work truck package, but its beepbeepbeepbeep near brand new inside and out. The Carfax report and Oasis checks out, no leaks, hardly any rust and tons of power! It was a hell of a long process but I couldn't have done it without the help of Rodslinger and others here at Powerstroke.org. If you're not a Premium member SIGN UP NOW!!! The two year membership was the best $35.00 I ever spent. I can't tell you how many trucks I passed up because I found all sorts of Gremlins in the Oasis report.

Also want to report that I had a great buying experience at Smith Ford in Washington, NJ (Warren County-since there are 7 Washingtons in NJ!), and I'd definitely buy from them again. I walked in and test drove a few trucks before settling on this one, and they treated me like a customer, not a "kid" with no money. I paid $18,000 ($19,450 with tax/tags/fees)-NADA pegs the retail value at just over $20K so I feel like I got a good deal. Smith Ford is also a New Holland dealer and it's located deep in New Jersey farm country where cows, sheep, and horses still outnumber people (Bet you didn't even know we had any!) and they're used to dealing with "truck people" as they put it. No b.s. about having to look like you're loaded to get good service.

I'm looking forward to putting the new rig through the paces, doing some four wheeling and some MODS! Oh and one more thing-I work part time at an ice rink and we have a guy there who generally sucks at life (and work) who can't stop bragging about the 454 in his beat up worn out '97 Suburban. Can't wait to show him what 445 cubic inches of DIESEL power can do.

Cheers to all who put up with my noob questions and Oasis requests!

Congrats on the New Rig
Drive it hard, be nice to it when it's sitting still (oil changes, wash/wax, etc) and it should serve you well for a long time to come.

Well my VERY first mod will be to install my Sirius radio from my old truck...lol I'm thinking exhaust and intake first, the gauges, then the DP tuner.
