Power Inverter

Harbor Freight had a 2000 watt power inverter on sale, so I picked one up this weekend. I know, I know but I’ve had nothing but good luck over the years with Chicago Electric equipment, so as long as that luck remains I’ll keep buying ‘em. I relocated my jack and it fits perfectly behind the back seat. I’ll just have to lay the seat down if I’m going to run it for long periods so it’ll stay cool.
Now that I can run electric power tools (and make toast ), I just want to have air and a welder on my rig and I’ll be set.

Invertin'

I have a small inverter in my truck I borrowed from a friend. It's nice to have, as it's bailed me out a few times. So Harbor Freight eh? I've heard good and bad about their tools. People tell me it's okay to buy something you won't use that much, but don't buy something you'll use daily. I'm picky anyway and I don't buy anything but DeWalt power tools and top of the line stuff. In fact the only non DeWalt tool I own is my Skil Saw Worm drive cuz DeWalt doesn't make one...grr! But it's still a great saw!

Yeah I'm a Makita, Milwaukee and Craftsman guy but some things from Harbor Freight you just can't beat the price. I've a chop saw I've used the heck out of for doing iron work and I had a CE 8K winch on my Wrangler that worked awesome - For 1/3 the price you'd pay for a Warn.

Harbor tools

Well you're one of the few good luck stories i've heard. In the line of work i'm in I communicate with a lot of contractors and handymen and we often discuss what's good and what's not so good. So I don't know, maybe they just abuse the heck out the things they buy or something. I just know that when I find something I like, I stick with it! Sounds like you're much the same, and there's nothing wrong with that!

I'm sure I'll get burned by 'em one of these days. Like the saying goes - you get what you pay for.
