Water Pump and Maintenance

Hi - Thanks for the help with the stalling problem that I had. While replacing the sensor, I noticed the Water Pump leaking. I'll be replacing it soon. Since I need to take out lots of stuff to get to it, I will be doing other maintenance while I am in there...110K on the Excursion...

Here is what I am thinking I should replace:

1. Water Pump $249
2. Thermostat $22
3. Belt $26 - should I do the tensioner?
4. Upper Hose $13
5. Lower Home $19
6. Power Steering Pump $140 - It is also flakey

Can anyone recomend other maintenance while I am in there? Powerstrokeshop.com seems to have decent prices for oem parts...do you guys like OEM or other? I can save a couple $$ (maybe $125) by not getting oem, but I do not want to do the job twice...

BTW - this has been the greatest car ever! Other than diesel and oil, i've never done anything to it!

just a note....there is a special puller and installer for the powersteering pulley.......you will need a "white teflon powersteering o ring" as we call the m at work for the pressure line...they should be replaced anytime a powersteering line is removed, stretch them out a little over a shouldered shocket or a tapered punch to get them on..........and make sure your thermostat comes with a gasket. the last thing is read my H2O pump replacement article in the tech files and make sure to silicone the water pump inlet as i reccomend to prevent it from leaking....and if your over 100k and your trying to be anal about keeping her all perfect.......you may as well do the tensioner while your there.......Marc
