I will use oil for example, I mean my gosh all of them work and yet we have a tendancy to think there is only ONE. But, that is what the manufactuers want................PRODUCT LOYALTY. BTW, as Granny said it's nice to see a civil "bashing" thread.

As stated earlier, Banks and Edge were my intro into the world of Diesel Performance. First thing i ever bought from Banks was a Turbo kit for my 88 7.3 back in the early to mid 90's. Since then ive ran the Six gun, waste gate actuator, OBS IC kits etc... and the Edge Evo 1, evo 2, Juice/attitude. Have i Bashed these brands and products? Yes i have but only the ones i have had personal experience and dissatisfaction with. Ive ran these Brands on the IDI 7.3 and the 7.3, 6.0 strokers as well. I havent had any major problems with either brands except for tuning or lack there of for the transmission. Point being through EXPERIENCE with the products i have the Right to voice my opinion on the Parts. There is a difference between bashing and suggesting an alternative option to people based on there needs or uses for the vehicle in question. The problem i see more so as mentioned earlier are the post from people who have no experience with the manufacturer at hand. This "bashing" is just not involved with banks, i see it in many posts. People that have no clue as to what could be causing a problem the OP is asking about, which leads to confusion especially to people whom are not familiar with diesel engines etc... The concept is easy, IF YOU DONT KNOW DONT POST! I am by no means saying that its unacceptable to post an idea or probable cause relating to any said problem, but these reply's should be based on experience, Not just some Jo Blow with no idea. Im done venting about this now, I've just seen too many OP's get confused by improper information being posted. Sorry for the long post |
