I'm not trying to start a fight, bigcountry, I swear to you. But look @ the 1st statement you posted: If you're an older person towing a 5th wheel camper & most of us want a lot more power than what Banks offers? That's kinda on the stereotypical side of what people say about Banks, wouldn't you say? In all due respect, bud, these are the things that light the fuse. Some people of any age use Banks just to bang around town or tow a 5th wheel camper, not just older people. You are right that Banks some power, MPGs, & to be safe, but is also for people of any age who like clean technology & just want a little bang. I realized I wanted big power too & am not really into clean tech, so I looked elsewhere, but if it wasn't for Banks, I wouldn't have caught the bug, you know?

I'm sorry Radarrider, that may have been miss worded. The meaning I had behind my statement was more along the lines of this. Most members here want to hotrod there trucks. Meaning taking it to the dragstrip, truck pulls, what ever it maybe.

Banks is good and has great quality. I will not take that away from them. My co-worker has the full set up from banks on his 6.0L. He loves it, he is 50 years old and tows a 5th wheel with his F-550. Banks in my opinion is great for him. With what he does with his truck.

But for most of us here, we are buying more then one thing at once to make our truck out preform the competetion. So for that purpose we have to look else where.

It is like buying a mustang adding a sct programmer, exhaust and intake. For some that maybe good enough.

But for others that want that 11-10 second Mustang we will go much further then that.

I was not trying to make it sound like I was attempting to bash Banks in anyway with that posting. I just did not clarify myself enough. For that I am sorry.

Tuning? Sucks.
Hard parts? Not bad, depends on what you are after.
Customer service?

wtf-ever.

I have people asking for Banks products all the time and I have no problem selling them... they are a good product, with very good quality.... I have asked people before what they were trying to do and switched them to other products before but that was because the Banks didnt suit their needs.... but all in all I am a banks supporter... I actually went to them for some parts a few days ago, but ended up going elsewhere instead....

MIGHT I ADD I HATE THE ATS BASHING TOO.... they had some issues 4 years ago, but have since straightened that out and their new stuff is incredible... I wont run another brand of build tranny in my rig and their other parts are great too....

We need to stop the product bashing period... if someone has a question just answer it and let the vendors worry about switching them....

Great thread here... glad to see some people have the kahones to step up
