Best $300 dollar ride enhancement ever !!

So my company decided to give us service vehicles due to insurance BS so my wife has been driving my dually around a lot and long story short she hates how it rides One of the other rodeo moms at the last roping get together has 11 F-450 and told her about Sulastic shackles and how they make these trucks bearable when the gooseneck isn't hooked up . So Monday I overnighted a set from diesel power products and got to install em today.

Without a doubt they are a very very good improvement, the little things remain the little things in the road and the a$$end hop/bounce of the long bed is still there at times. Where they absolutely shine is the BAD STUFF the 20 year old roads with terrible bumps, speed bumbs, freeway transitions the harder the hit the more the bushing soaks it up. With some GOOD aftermarket shocks I think it would be an unbeatable combo. I run 40 in my duals with the factory black body shocks ( I switched out the white crap ) and im very impressed. The only way I can describe the difference is it is somewhere between adding a camper shell and having 400 LBS of play sand in the back

I had a set and ruined one because a bolt backed out of the leaf spring and screwed up the shackle ( my fault) but on my truck i found they added a bounce and lowered the rear a little so i didn't replace them when that happened

glad they work for you mine were old so i am sure they have come a ways and mine was a SRW so that must play a factor

Really they lowered yours !? Mine went up over an inch , maybe they need to settle in. They do add alittle "free play " to the rear but it think that's what they are suppose to do so it can take the harshness out of abrupt hits or bumps. We shall see how they play out but for now they are working pretty good
