Titan Fuel tank On its way. 2015 F350

All,
I decided to pull the trigger on a Titan 50 Gallon Fuel tank for my 2015 F350.
Its on its way to me...
If anyone has any questions about my pending install. Im glad to try and answer.
Their are plenty of threads regarding Titans tanks. and Im sure you can probably
find your questions answered already.

Ill be doing the install myself. and having read thru most of the posted threads.
I think the Install should go quite easy.

Rational for buying the tank:
Having come from an 08 that got avg 15/22 with a 30 gallon tank.
and now getting 10/15 with a 25 gallon tank.
The frequency of stops at the fuel station are really getting me down.
Also my immediate location isn't very Diesel friendly. Often I find my self
pulling into stations that do not carry diesel. This to is frustrating.

So, the solution for me is a bigger tank. less stops. and lends itself to smarter purchases.
often when diesel is cheaper I wish I could buy 100 gallons. etc...

I intend on trying to add to the plethora of information regarding the tank and its install and the dealer interaction.

Im pretty excited to be getting this finally! from all the posts i have read. TITAN is the Benchmark all other tanks are measured by.... And though it may seem pricy. my SD came in at about 60K... whats another 1K?

from experience I found it was worth pressurizing the tank to 5 psi and doing a soap test
around the sender

a few plugs and looped hoses make it easy fuel leaking out of a sender gasket stinks LOL

I wanna do this I'm just nervous about not getting it sealed right and water getting into the tank. I noticed my dealer had some titan banners in their showroom. Makes me wanna ask if they'd warranty the install. I don't really wanna part with $1500 though.

I had a buddy install my Titan 65 gallon tank this past weekend. It had been sitting in the shed for almost 4 months awaiting the truck to arrive after I ordered it in early March. I found it on eBay for $1150 shipped and it was new.

Install went fairly well except on the CCLB, we had to notch the center Titan tank bracket to clear the driveshaft hanger bearing.

Like mentioned above, I did a soap test on the pump after installing and torquing to 30 ft/lb. I did lightly coat the rubber o-ring with diesel fuel prior to tightening the nuts. No leaks from soap test and we probably put 20-30 air pressure into the tank.

Have covered about 35 miles since install and Miles to Empty still reads 999...lol..I did have the dealer change the Miles to Empty to compute on 65 gallons prior to me paying for truck. Also had them turn on the Daytime Running Lights also.

Here's a video that may help.
2011 Ford Super Duty Titan Fuel Tank Installation - YouTube

I added a 51 gallon tank to the bed of my truck and I think they're made up to 90gal... It has a shallow took box on top that locks and it's all below the top rail of the bed. I have a tri-fold cover on top and you'd never know it's there.

Auxiliary-Transfer Tank: Fuel Toolbox Combos | Auxiliary Fuel Tanks, Transfer Fuel Tanks + Skid Fuel Tanks | Fuel Transfer + Lubrication | Northern Tool + Equipment

It splices into the main fill tube and works like a charm. I can if it weren't for Dr. Pepper's and having to stop... I could make it from Miami to nearly Dallas. I had to stop at the rip griffin just outside the 635 loop... Unloaded of course but I definitely stock up when I find a location on the cheap... providing they get a lot of traffic.

If you wouldn't mind, could you take measurements and photos of the stock and modified distances below the frame rail and from the ground??? Thanks in advance...

I just installed a 50g Titan tank a few weeks ago. Went fine and it's awesome having the range, especially for towing. Search my name for my review on how it went.
