First Issue

Well just about to roll 100,000kms and first real issue has cropped up. Been a rock solid truck till this afternoon. I just started it up after a brief rest and got a check engine light and it was p132b code. Called dealer they said ok to drive. I drove it to them but man its gutless. Almost no boost. Best I got was on a hill to rug to maintain speed and 5psi. Hope its not serious. Diesel mech was gone by the time I got there. Anyone run into this? They just did a new reflash last week cant help but think that might be the culprit seems suspect.

PS been a while since I have posted work work work.

P132B Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control A Performance

Sounds like an issue with the veins in the turbo, that would explain the lack of boost. Its common for the veins to gum up with soot and **** and they will stick, happens alot on all levels of VGT cummins engines. I think these VGTs are controlled by oil pressure so that should be fairly safe to rule out as a problem. If its at the dealer they will want to replace the turbo, but you can take it apart and clean it up to get abit more life out of it, just a time consuming and tedious job.

Its got gobs of warranty so not too worried about it. Their diesel mech was off sick today they hope he is back tomorrow. Its a small dealer. Hope its just a sensor or something but not sure how the turbo is controlled for it to not make boost and no leaks I could find I figured it blew that plastic tube but not so lucky.

Oh man if you got warranty then just drop it and they can call when they pick it up. I'm sure I read somewhere the vgt is controlled by oil pressure. But when those veins gum up they are pretty much welded together unless you clean it. It gets rock hard in there
