Coolant Test Fail

Good afternoon everyone, I just completed my testing of the coolant in my truck. 2011 F250 with 42000 miles. The first two test passed but the contamination test failed (for both coolants). Per the instructions that came with the test kits it says if the contamination test fails to drain flush and refill with new coolant

I have searched the forums and have read multiple answers so.........

do I need to drain flush and refill both systems??????????

or do I just add the additive to both and be done with it???????

Thanks

Contamination means you have something contaminating your coolant, so yes flush and re-fill. Additives only add some of the lost additives in the coolant, they will not help with your contamination level
