SF3 3015 as a DPF Delete Tuner?

Can you use the above mentioned tuner for a DPF delete on an '11 6.7L? I still have mine from my '06 6.0L and all it would take would be unlock and updated tunes, correct..?? That and a DPF delete kit..?

Hmm...after thinking about it, maybe I have the x3...any difference/problems there..??

I "think" you would have to have a "Off Road" tuner for the DPF delete.

I don't think the X3 or the SF3 will be able to do what you want.

So, I took a look at what I have and it's the X3 (PN 3000) which has 5 unlocks left (3015?) and is loaded with the tunes for the EGR delete but is useless to me now that I have sold my old truck, right? Just looking to clarify things...

The 3015 will work, just needs custom tunes loaded on it.

Well, after reprogramming my Scangauge II to look at temps at EGT1 (pre-turbo?) and EGT4 (post DPF) sensors, I was alarmed to see the temps at EGT4 approaching 1200F just driving down the freeway at 70mph unloaded! I wonder now what the temps will be with my 5er on it.

I am now thinking that the delete has gone to a "nice to have" to "need to have" if, for nothing else, I am to use this truck for another 50-100,000 miles down the road. These high temps can't be doing anything good for the truck and are probably prematurely shorting the life of the engine and/or exhaust system.

I would like to do this as inexpensively as possible but I will do what I have to in order to keep this truck running well for the next 4-5 years.
