TPMS and 2nd set of wheels

I am hoping someone can help me with this question. I am looking to purchase a 2nd set of wheels and tires for winter use and am curious if I purchase another set of TPMS in the 2nd set of wheels if there is anything special I need to do to get the truck to recognize? I don't want to have to take the one set and place into the 2nd set. Are they universal or do I need to "marry" the 2nd set once installed? If so, how is that done?

Thanks in advance!

I had my new wheels sent with new TPMS in them. I didn't have to do anything to marry these sensors. 13 Platinum I also put my stock wheels back on recently and nothing...

That seems very strange.

I swapped my stock '13 wheels with customs off my father in laws '11 super duty and I didn't have to do anything either. TPMS in the new wheels didn't have to be synced and are working great.

Weird, I never knew that technology worked like that. I work for Lexus and it's not that simple for us..
