I had a truck that did something like that. Every time I'd pull out from a stop, it clunked. I, nor the dealership ever figured that one out. My wife would giggle and say it was "the little man with a rubber hammer" beating on my truck.
I was ready to strap myself to the bottom of the truck and let her drive to find where it was coming from. It aggravated me until the day I sold it.
My wife, who is rather entertained by my "OCD" with rattles and noises just LOVED
the drama it produced.
